2SG Basic


The basic model is a double sided coating unit. Intermediate rollers must be ordered and purchased separately according to viscosity specifications.

Standard specifications:

  • Full set of covers to seal the unit
  • Extraction connection point from gear side
  • Stainless steel reservoir
  • Hoses for connection of colour change system
  • Reservoir Level Control (RLC) to cut off pump in event of too high level of ink in the reservoir
  • Motorizing and wash-up system.
  • Tool kit

A complete coating unit consists of two additional intermediate rollers.
Depending on strength of colour and required emulsion coat weight, the unit needs to be equipped with the appropriate roller configuration. The SG Basic model is intended for use with different two roller configurations.
Please note: the arrangement of rollers is dependent upon many parameters including, substrate properties, surface tension, emulsion, ink, liquid ingredients and viscosity etc.

SG basic roller configuration

Electrical control system (applicable to units of 1300 width and above only).This system consists of an electrical control to run one of the impression rollers in the coating unit. The purpose of the control system is to minimize the extra web tension created, and can be necessary in applications with low paperweight, and or a long distance between each web-control. We recommend our electrical control system to be used with units of 1300mm and above. See optional equipment.
