StarCut Paper Cutter
The StarCut paper cutter is fully variable for formats of 6” to 17” in 1/6”, ¼” or mm steps. A change of cutting length is exclusively carried out electronically; mechanical inventions are no longer required. Through an electronic shaft encoder placed in the printing plant of in an unwinder, the StarCut paper cutter automatically adapts to the pre-selected production speed. A change of knifes for varying format lengths has not to be done.
At the entry of the stacker a star-shaped wheel is located, in which the individual sheets are coming in. The sheets are put in a stacker shaft while being stacked upon a rake which lowers controlled over a sensor.
When the number of stacked pieces is achieved, the stacking belt is accelerated and emptied into the stacking shaft. When the sensor displays, the last sheet has been placed on the stack, the stack is completely lowered and a new rake shoots in, on which the new stacking process can start.
In the meantime the stack is pushed out onto a removal table.
During the stacking process the sheets are lined up on two edges, resulting in excellent stacking.
